To be done after you have finalised the period i.e. entered all you additions/ disposals for the current period.
Follow these steps for processing month end:
Step 1: Go to TOOLS> Period End> Run Period End
Step 2: Wait for the confirmation message to appear (as seen below) before moving to the next step.
Step 3: Go to the REPORTS tab and in the “Report” dropdown menu, select either the Period Depreciation – Details or Period Depreciation – Summary report, to use for your GL depreciation journals.
Step 4: Click PREVIEW to view the report which you can the print.
Step 5: Once you have posted your depreciation journals into your General Ledger, print the detailed version of the Current Asset Listing report (via the REPORTS menu) to use to reconcile back to your General Ledger.
This is the report to use to reconcile with your General Ledger
Important Note: The current asset report cannot be run retrospectively so please print this report immediately after running period end but before you start entering additions into the new period.
